Innovation and automation are key priorities for LasX®, and the laser technology company has found a strategic ally in Grafotronic, a Europe and USA-based company specializing in narrow web label converting equipment. Through this new partnership, LasX will integrate its LaserSharp® Processing Modules into Grafotronic’s fully modular digital converting line, enabling both companies to deliver world class finishing solutions to the label market.
Like LasX, Grafotronic continues to invest in the development and expansion of modular-based machines, most recently entering the wine and cosmetic label market. “Together with our hot foil, embossing, and flat bed screen modules and automatic slitting system and LasX’s laser die cutting module, we now offer a complete solution for the effective finishing of short run labels,” said Grafotronic’s President Håkan Sundqvist. LasX Europe Business Development Manager Dave Birch echoes the business impact of their OEM relationship. “Through Grafotronic’s enhanced laser module powered by LasX, laser finishing is not an extra part but rather a seamlessly integrated solution. Moreover each module can be put together in any configuration with the ability to install additional modules at record speed,” said Birch.
The strategic partnership between LasX and Grafotronic offers exciting potential for the future of label printing. “Grafotronic and LasX are both focused on delivering automated solutions that increase productivity for our customers. We want what used to take minutes to now take seconds,” said Sundqvist. “The strategic partnership with Grafotronic allows LasX to compete at any level in the narrow web marketplace with their wide range of innovative finishing solutions for the label industry,” concluded Birch.
