Online printing company, Labelprint24, a leading German manufacturer of labels and system vendor of packaging materials, installed the third generation of Grafotronic Inspection Slitter / Rewinder HI3 at the beginning of the year.
Labelprint24 with its Head Office in Zeithain and Branch offices in Frankurt, Poland and Czech Republic, is one of the top brands in Europe for packaging products and labels of all types. The company searched for a supplier with short delivery times, to relieve the high production load during spring, and Grafotronic were able to meet this need.
Big advantages of the HI3 are innovative automatic non-stop production features like the automatic knife positioning system SCI-FI KNIVES and the automatic cut at end of roll and start of new cycle AUTOCUT, which allows Labelprint24 to produce with the highest productivity and efficiency. Thanks to these solutions, the slitting knife in the SCI-FI unit is automatically positioned in the right place and the roll change takes place automatically after the corresponding number of labels has been reached. In addition to this by integrating a HI3 interface to Labelprint24’s in-house ERP system, the machine is able, among other things, to read all job information via a barcode reader which makes production faster and easier for the operator. The Grafotronic slitting and rewinding machine is also upgraded with a 100% camera control system for easy fault detection and replacement.
Service was an important part of the machine procurement for Labelprint24. Graficon Maschinenbau AG is representing Grafotronic in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and is responsible for installations, repairs and maintenance.
