print-ID GmbH & Co KG from Grünberg signed a purchase contract for two highly automated DCL2 finishing machines from Grafotronic in July 2023. After a visit to the Grafotronic plant in Warsaw during the ASPIRE event in May 2023, the customer was technologically convinced and decided to invest in Grafotronic innovative solutions.
The newly ordered Grafotronic machines will replace two existing machines and will be used in the finishing of both pre-printed and blank labels. Both machines have two rotary die cutting units with Q-LOAD – the automatic quick-change system for loading and unloading magnetic cylinders. In addition, both DCL2 are equipped with Grafotronic’s unique IQ automation package. This feature enables the machine to perform job changes on its own and handle all job settings automatically. Grafotronic IQ works with a series of cameras that monitor the material web and automatically make the necessary adjustments (longitudinal and transverse). All of this happens at the highest speed in the field of postpress. The register sensors are also automatically brought into the correct position without the need for manual intervention.
